We recommend 1\/5 of a bar to put in your melter. If you have a smaller room or like a more delicate fragrance you may prefer to put 1\/10 of a bar in.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStrength of fragrance depends on a few things. Firstly we have given a guide to how strong the fragrance on each bar is. You can choose to have a more delicate fragrance by putting less melt in your burner, and likewise more wax will give a stronger fragrance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYour burner is key. Wax melts work by heating up the wax to a temperature that releases the fragrance oils. Different burners burn hotter and colder, and room temperature has a factor too. A hotter burner will give a stronger fragrance but that will last a shorter amount of time than a cooler burner that may give a more delicate fragrance but that will last longer. We have tested several burners around the 11\/12 cm high mark and some were slightly hotter or cooler but all worked excellently with our melts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYour wax melter should melt the whole pool of wax. If it does not then it may be in too cool of a location. Some electric wax melt warmers do not get too hot so you may get a more delicate fragrance with those. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe DO NOT recommend the use of the mini wax melt burners 7\/8cm types. We have tested them ourselves and done research and we feel that they burn too hot. They give an excellent scent throw to begin with and a really strong fragrance but it gets so warm that it burns off too quickly which can leave you with over heated wax.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e*apx weight given. Actual bar may be very slightly more or less in weight as these are all individually hand poured by us at our Yorkshire studio.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e** Length of fragrance time depends on the temperature of your burner.
